PROJECT ENGINEER
Job Summary
Lead the development and implementation of new product concepts and sustaining product improvements by developing, selecting, and refining design concepts; completing engineering analysis and qualification testing; and documenting product designs in accordance with Follett standards. Participate on assigned product and process projects supporting team work, project planning, providing technical inputs and problem solving and field follow-up as required.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Mid level engineering position; 5-10 years of professional experience. Demonstrated product development / project management experience. Mechanical design experience and aptitude. AutoCAD Inventor experience and capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of various appliance type controls and components. Demonstrated unit qualification testing knowledge and experience; performance and reliability. Agency listing experience with UL, NSF, CE, etc. for product safety and sanitation. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel (Microsoft Project preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

FABRICATION PROCESS ENGINEER
Position Summary:
Create and coordinate the implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes. Responsible for various engineering assignments ranging from feasibility studies to the introduction of designs and drawings to Manufacturing. A liaison to coordinate activities of Engineering and Manufacturing Departments.
Plans the arrangement of equipment to ensure most efficient and productive process layout. Documents and specifies routine, regular procedures and work instructions for the use of equipment and processes that affect product performance. Evaluates equipment and tolls for efficiency. Supports Managing for Daily Improvement activities by investigating circumstances, performing Root Cause Analysis, and initiating corrective actions. Ensures corrective actions are communicated to the production personnel through work instructions or procedure updates and training.
Education:
Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and a working knowledge of manufacturing software packages such as AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCad and material utilization packages is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing and engineering support environment. Experienced in interacting with a unionized work force.
Experienced with sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser cutting systems and NC controlled press brakes. Experienced with orbital tube bending equipment, wire/plastic processing equipment, and product assembly.
Demonstrated participation in lean manufacturing, 6Sigma and/or continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
