Fabrication Process Engineer

Functional Area: 

Operations - Manufacturing

Position Summary:

Develop and coordinate the implementation of new or improved CNC press brake programs.

Documents and specifies the regular procedures and work instructions for the use of equipment and processes in the sheet metal fabrication process.  Supports Managing for Daily Improvement activities by investigating circumstances, performing Root Cause Analysis, and initiating corrective actions related to the fabrication process.  Ensures corrective actions are implemented and communicated to the appropriate personnel through the use of work instructions, procedure updates, and training.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a trade equivalent and additional work experience.  Direct experience in the metal fabrication processes is a must.  Specific emphasis in CNC press brake program development is required. In addition to the educational background, the candidate should possess a working knowledge of manufacturing software packages, such as AutoDesk Inventor, Auto Cad, and other G-code generators for CNC press brakes.  Other experience with tube bending, wire / plastic processing equipment is a plus.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in developing programs for CNC press brakes.  Prior press brake operator or off-line press brake programming experience.

  • Experience in creating CNC press brake programs using simulation software to determine the lowest cost bending sequence.

  • Direct experience with manufacturing software packages such as AutoDesk Inventor, Auto Cad, Optimation, or other G-code generators for CNC press brakes.

  • Experienced with sheet metal fabrication equipment such as CNC press brakes and laser cutting systems.

  • Demonstrated participation in a lean manufacturing environment or other similar environments that employed 6Sigma and/or continuous improvement tools.

  • Experienced in interacting with a unionized work force.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Responsibilities / Functions: 

  • Recommends and introduces design rules, drawings, CNC programs, and other specifications to Manufacturing for various fabricating processes.
  • Analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches necessary to meet production requirements for new or improved products, processes, and equipment.
  • Determine from part drawings and related engineering data the operation necessary for the fabrication and assembly of product.
  • Develop and write sequence of operations as well as time estimates for each operation.
  • Document procedures and work instructions. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment and tools, to verify efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies.
  • Create routings for the purpose of managing the flow of material through the fabrication process.
  • Produces and maintains work piece processing instructions and related code for fabrication of components utilizing various types of equipment.
  • Recommends, specifies, justifies and assists in the installation of new equipment used in our component fabrication processes.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge, by attending educational workshops, seminars, as well as participating in professional societies and reviewing professional publications.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Support operations in a multi-factory and a multi-shift environment.
  • Know and follow procedures and policies relevant to job functions at Follett Corporation.
  • Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
 

Part Time Healthcare Telemarketing Assistant

Reports To:            Director of US Healthcare Sales                                                                                  

Functional Area:     Healthcare Sales

Position Summary

Promotes healthcare sales efforts by setting sales appointments for field sales representatives.  Performs administrative and secretarial support as needed to support Healthcare Sales Division.  Acts as an inside sales telemarketing representative to promote Follett products to ancillary healthcare facilities, as time allows.

Education

Associates Degree in sales, marketing or business OR combination of applicable training and experience.

Experience

  • 2-5 years office experience; administrative, telemarketing, and/or customer service preferred.
  • Demonstrated success telemarketing and/or inside sales preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Essential Responsibilities / Functions:

1.  Set appointments for field sales representatives and Follett sales managers. 

  • Coordinate appointment times and locations with sales reps and sales managers
  • Establish the route and itinerary for each appointment schedule
  • Call the healthcare facilities and secure appointments by pre-selling features and benefits.

2.  Assist sales efforts by:

  • Following a prepared presentation on the benefits and features of Follett equipment.
  • Soliciting useful marketing information such as competitive product, pricing, and new equipment needs.
  • Acting as inside sales resource as needed by sales managers and Sales Representatives.

3.   Confirm appointments by sending a completed schedule to the Sales Representatives

4.   Assist in following up on sales opportunities by sending literature and/or notifying the appropriate contact to further qualify leads.

5.   Provide administrative, clerical, and secretarial support, as needed.

6.   As time allows, makes pro-active inside sales calls to ancillary healthcare facilities to promote Follett products.

  • Will follow sales script and send appropriate sales literature to potential customers.
  • If needed, will coordinate follow-up sales calls between customer and Follett Sales Representatives. 

7.  Contribute to the team effort by maintaining interdepartmental workflow; fostering a spirit of cooperation; filling in for absences;  sharing resources and knowledge; and accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Physical Requirements:

Attend meetings/training outside the company as requested.  Occasional lifting of no more than 25 lbs. 

Travel Requirements:
